Life in Sun Diego

It almost feels weird to be around normal people again.  For a while I could not figure out if I was crazy person in a sane world, or a sane person in a crazy world.  Or maybe a crazy person in a crazy world!  For the first time in a long time I am actually entertaining the possibility that maybe (just maybe) I am a sane person in a sane world, and it is very refreshing.  I'm not sure how long I will be able to make this last, but one thing is for sure I will appreciate every minute of it.
Transitioning from the city of L.A. to the valley of San Diego is like leaving the Wild Wild West to discover Shangri-la.  There aren't too many things you can complain about here.  The air is fresh, the people are very friendly and laid back (you can actually approach a random someone on the street and say hello and not have to worry about the death stare).  However, the best part of visiting here by far is reconnecting with some really good friends.  When I say that I mean the type of people that change your life for the better.  Being in L.A. can really open your eyes to how low scum can sink, and being here in San Diego can show you how high true friendship can soar.   A person's character can be measured by the type of people that he chooses to surround himself with.  Always surround yourself with people that bring you up not drag you down.  It can be the difference between ending up in jail..or being the person you truly want to be.
